Win for SHS Baseball; Loss for SHS Soccer

The Shelton baseball team made it two in a row on Saturday beating Hoquiam 10 to 2.

The Highclimbers built an eight-run lead taking advantage of five errors by the Grizzlies while ‘Climber pitching held Hoquiam to just two hit.

Daniel Crossan led Shelton at the plate, going 3 for 4, with a double and two RBI. Also batting in runs were Cam Winans, Colin Mickleson, and Kingston Cahoon (who hit a double).
Cahoon started on the mound and pitched three innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out four. Jacob Jacoby pitched two innings and was charged with two runs (one earned), five walks and three strike outs. And Gunnar Jensen closed out the game with no runs or hits, one walk and two strikeouts in the final two innings.
The Highclimbers host Klahowya Monday.


The Shelton boys’ soccer team was blanked at Heritage on Saturday 7 to 0. The Highclimbers are now 0-3-and-1 on the season. They open Evergreen Conference play Tuesday at home against Tumwater.
