The Shelton baseball team shut out Black Hills on Tuesday 4 to 0 behind another outstanding pitching performance.

The Highclimbers’ Kingston Cahoon allowed four hits through six innings while walking one and striking out seven. Michael Carlson pitched one inning, walked one and struck out two.
At the plate, Cam Winans was 2 for 2 with a double, a triple and had an RBI. Carl Turnbow, Dalton Kulbacki, and Zaine Harding each batted in runs for the ‘Climbers as they swept the three-game season series with the Wolves.

Five seniors were recognized before Tuesday’s game: Carl Turnbow, Michael Carlson, Collin Mickelson, Dalton Kulbacki, and Cam Winans.
Shelton improved to 12-and-8 on the season, 6-and-8 in the Evergreen Conference. The Highclimbers host Tumwater Thursday on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC to wrap up the regular season before heading to Heritage on Saturday for the District 4 Play-In game which will also be on MasonWebTV.
The Shelton boys’ soccer team wrapped up the regular season Tuesday night with a 3 to 2 loss at Black Hills. The Highclimbers finish the season with a 4-9-and-1 overall record, 4-and-6 in the Evergreen Conference, fifth in the standings. The ‘Climbers needed to finish fourth or better to earn a spot in the District 4 Play-In game.
The North Mason fastpitch softball team lost to Port Angeles 5 to 1 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were held to four hits: two by Kennady Carson; a double by Snydnnie Imlay; and Taylor Madison batted in a run. NM pitcher Addyson Roy went seven innings and was charged with five earned runs on 11 hits while walking two and striking out nine. North Mason now has an 11-and-9 overall record, 6-and-7 in the Olympic League. The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season at Kingston on Friday.
The North Mason baseball team was shutout at Olympic Tuesday 1 to 0. The Bulldogs outhit the Trojans 5 to 3 but couldn’t bring a runner home. Calvin Rice lead NM at the plate going 2 for 3. Danner Jones, Kingston Serebryakov, and Joshua Haddenham had the other hits for the boys from Belfair. North Mason’s overall record drops to 7-and-11, 4-and-9 in the Olympic League. The Bulldogs and Olympic play again Wednesday, this time in Belfair.
The North Mason boys’ soccer team wrapped up the regular season Tuesday night with an 8 to 0 loss to Bainbridge. The Bulldogs finish with a 5-10-and-1 overall record, 4-and-10 in the Olympic League, tied with Olympic for sixth place in the standings.
