Mason County’s unemployment rate ticked up slightly from March to April. According to Washington State Employment Security, the County’s unemployment rate last month was 5.9%, up one-tenth of a percentage point from April’s revised rate of 5.8%. April 2026’s rate is almost a percent higher than April 2025’s rate of 5%.
