Mason PUD 3 CEO Annette Creekpaum was awarded the Paul J. Raver Community Service Award last month, recognizing her service not only to the local community, but also to the broader public power community.
The award was announced at the Northwest Public Power Association’s annual conference in Spokane. Creekpaum accepted the award with “an attitude of gratitude,” thanking her team and her peers for their work. Over her more than 25 years in public service, including 13 years at PUD 3’s CEO, she has guided PUD 3 through major advances from large electrical projects and broadband expansion to community engagement initiatives and workforce development.
Creekpaum also serves on state and regional association boards as a strong advocate for rural and community-owned utilities across the Northwest, helping ensure the perspectives of smaller public power providers are represented.

Under her leadership and example, PUD 3 staff engage in local support through an organization-wide community engagement program annually, which resulted in 2,118 volunteer hours and $26,940 in employee charitable giving last year.
This award was also given to PUD 3 as an organization in 2021. “Our community is the heart of our utility,” Creekpaum said. “Our team members live, work, volunteer, and serve in Mason County, and we are proud to support our neighbors every day.”
