Two pickup trucks collided north of Allyn Saturday and sent three people to area hospitals.
The Washington State Patrol says a Ford truck attempted to turn left from eastbound Homestead Drive on to northbound State Route 3 about 10 AM. A Toyota truck, which was southbound on SR-3, attempted to avoid colliding with the Ford by steering to the left. However, the Ford struck the Toyota. The Ford came to rest facing eastbound on the northbound shoulder while the Toyota ended up facing eastbound in the northbound lane of Highway 3.
The driver of the Ford truck, a 70-year-old Allyn man, was transported to St. Michaels Medical Center in Silverdale.
The driver of the Toyota truck, a 19-year-old Montesano man, was transported to Tacoma General Hospital.
And a passenger in the Toyota, a 19-year-old Aberdeen man, was transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
Both trucks were totaled.
