Mason County’s unemployment rate dropped from April to May. According to Washington Employment Security, the County’s unemployment rate last month was 5.6%, down three-tenths of a percentage point from April’s revised rate of 5.9%. May 2026’s rate was four-tenths of a percent higher than May 2025’s rate of 5.2%.
