A Tahuya woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Taylor Towne Tuesday.

The Washington State Patrol reports that two SUVs were northbound on U.S. Highway 101 about 5:15 PM with a vehicle in each of the two lanes. At milepost 352, the driver of the SUV in lane two (left lane) lost control and the vehicle struck the SUV in lane one (right lane), causing it to roll and come to rest on the southbound shoulder. The other SUV ended up on the northbound shoulder.

The 33-year-old Tahuya woman driving the SUV in the right lane was flown to Tacoma General Hospital.
The 32-year-old Olympia woman driving the SUV in left lane was transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.

A press memo indicates drugs or alcohol were involved in this crash and has “DUI” as the cause. Charges are pending against the Olympia woman.
