A 31-year-old Allyn man was killed early Monday morning in a single-vehicle collision south of Union. According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred about 2:10 AM, 5.5 miles south of Union on McReavy Road where the man, identified as Juan Carlos Espinoza Alcazar, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet S-10 pickup northbound.Alcazar lost control of the truck in a turn to the left, overcorrected and the S-10 left the roadway, struck an embankment, rolled over at least once then came to rest on the roadway. Alcazar reportedly was wearing a seat belt and was able to get out of the vehicle. When medics arrived, they found him sitting outside of the vehicle on the roadway. However, Alcazar died from his injuries at the scene. Investigators say that speed was a contributing factor to the collision.
