Elections officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office did not post new numbers to the Washington State Secretary of State website on Monday, August 10, 2026. However, updated numbers were found on Mason County Auditor’s website but again NOT on the Washington State Secretary of State website.
Here are the latest unofficial numbers according to a PDF on the County’s website:
In the race for Mason County Commissioner District No. 3, the top two candidates remain Democrat Miguel Gutierrez and Republican George Blush. That’s 38.78% (1,446 votes) voting for Gutierrez and 17.03% (635 votes) voting for Blush.
Daniel Cameron has retaken third with 14.24% (527 votes). Eric Onisko in now fourth with 13.65% (509 votes). Karen (Schade) Sullivan follows with 7.29% (272 votes). Then Lovejoy Schaefer with 4.4% (164 votes) and Rick Lee with 4.59% (171 votes). There are five write-ins (0.13%), eight overvotes (some one who voted for more than one candidate), and 68 undervotes (some one who didn’t vote for any of the seven candidates).
In the race for Mason County Auditor, Democrat Tamra “Tam” Ingwaldson still leads with 41.13% (6,340 votes). Republican incumbent Steve Duenkel remains second with 37.96% (5,818 votes). Republican Monika Balmer is third with 14.15% (2,184 votes). And Vivian Glass (who states no party preference) has 6.98% (1,077 votes). There are seven write-ins (0.05%), five overvotes, and 233 undervotes.
In the race for Mason County Clerk, Republican incumbent Charles Rhodes extended his lead on Republican challenger Tammy Clark. Rhodes now has 6,267 votes (49.57%) to Clark’s 6,074 votes (48.04%) with 302 write-ins (2.39%), three overvotes, and 3,027 undervotes.
Incumbent Democrat Brittany Pearson maintains here lead on Republican challenger Randy Lewis for Mason County Treasurer. Pearson now has 53.78% (8,220 votes) and Lewis now has 46.12% (7,049 votes) with 15 write-ins (0.1%), two overvotes, and 387 undervotes.
Central Mason Fire & EMS’ levy is still passing now with 64.16% approval. That’s 3,727 voting “Yes” and 2,082 voting “No”.
Mason County Fire District No. 12’s levy is passing now with 71.28% approval in Mason County. That’s 206 voting “Yes” and83 voting “No”. When you add in the Grays Harbor County numbers (which did not change Monday:(9 yes; 17 no), the approval rate is 68.25%.
North Mason Regional Fire Authority’s levy is still passing in Mason County with 73.77% approval. That’s 2,256 voting “Yes” and 802 voting “No”. When you add Kitsap County’s latest numbers (68 yes; 29 no), the approval rate drops to 73.66%.
The following numbers do NOT include Mason County results….
For 35th Legislative District State Senator, incumbent Republican Drew MacEwen still leads now with 50.31% (20,875 votes) while Democratic challenger Carolina Mejia now has 49.57% 20,565 votes) with 50 write-ins (0.12%).
In the three-candidate race for 35th Legislative District State Representative Position No. 1, incumbent Republican Dan Griffey still leads now with 52.59% (21,737 votes), followed by Democrat Jim Pierson’s 28.93% (11,959 votes), and Democrat Shaena Garberich who now has 18.41% (7,611 votes). There are 27 write-ins (0.07%).
Incumbent Republican Travis Couture leads Democrat Maria Littlesun now 52.79% to 47.11% for 35th Legislative District State Representative Position No. 2. That’s 21,813 voting for Couture and 19,465 voting for Littlesun with 44 write-ins (0.11%).
No change for the 6th Congressional District U.S. Representative race, incumbent Democrat Emily Randall still tops the race now with 60.18% (123,571 votes). Republican Teresa Fox remains second now with 24.87% (51,079 votes). Leon Lawson is still third now with 9.09% (18,670 votes). Brian P. O’Gorman now has 3.16% (6,4482 votes). Macy Jones has now garnered 2.65% (5,432 votes). And there are now 115 write-ins accounting for 0.06%.
The top two candidates in the Supreme Court Justices races remain the same:
Colleen Melody and Scott Edwards for Positions 1.
David Stevens and Jaime Michelle Hawk for Position 3.
Theo Angelis and Dave Larson for Position 5.
Debra Stephens and Todd Bloom for Position 7.
Election officials will continue to count additional ballots in the coming days.
So far, Mason County Elections Officials have counted 15,673 ballots. There are 48,581 registered voters in Mason County. Turnout at this time is 32.26%. It is estimated there are 4,000 ballots still to be counted. Updated numbers are scheduled to be released around 5:30 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
