Win for SHS Football…
The Shelton football team came from behind and beat North Creek Saturday 28 to 27.

The Highclimbers gave up two defensive touchdowns (a pick six, and a fumble scoop & score) in the first half and fell behind the Jaguars 20 to 8 at the half.
The ‘Climbers came storming back in the second half tying the game at 20 before the Jags took back the lead 27 to 20. Shelton then took back the lead, 28-27, on a one-yard TD run by Alberto Manzo and added the two-point conversion on a pass with 2:26 remaining.
It was the ‘Climber defense that ended North Creek’s next drive. Jayden Gray intercepted a Jaguar pass at the 33 and returned it to just short of the 50. Shelton then ran out the remaining 1:24 on the clock to improve to 3-and-1 on the season.

The Highclimbers finished with 405 yards of offense.
Alberto Manzo finished with 105 yards rushing and a touchdown, and caught five passes for 71 yards and a two-point conversion.
JayJay Rhoades had 98 yards receiving and a touchdown.
Caleb Jordan caught an 11-yard TD pass.
Ryan Brady completed 13 of 24 passes for 282 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, while rushing for 43 yards.
Shelton heads to Kelso next Friday to open 3A Greater St. Helens League play on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
