The Shelton volleyball team needed five sets to get by Black Hills Tuesday 3 to 2. The Highclimbers won the first set 25-21. The Wolves rallied and won the second set 25-18. The ‘Climbers responded in a tight third set, winning 25-23. BH evened things up with a 25-15 win in set four. Shelton took the win in final set 15 to 11. The Highclimbers improved to 5-and-4 on the season, 5-and-2 in the Evergreen Conference. They play at W.F. West Thursday.
The Shelton girls’ soccer team was shutout at Black Hills Tuesday 3 to 0. The Highclimbers will look for their first win of the season Thursday at home against W.F. West.
The North Mason girls’ soccer team beat Olympic Tuesday 4 to 1. The Bulldogs score all their goals in the first half with Faith Porter getting two, and Kindall Ferber and Taylor Madison adding one each. NM picked up its first Olympic League win and improved to 2-4-and-1 on the season, 1-4-and-1 in league play. North Mason travels to Bainbridge on Thursday.
The North Mason volleyball team lost to Olympic Tuesday in three sets: 25-20, 25-22, 25-21. The Bulldogs are now 1-and-7 on the season, 1-and-6 in the Olympic League. NM plays at Bainbridge Thursday.
The Mary M. Knight volleyball team lost at Winlock Tuesday three sets to one. The Owls are now 3-and-9 on the season. MMK returns to Coastal League play Thursday when they host Wishkah Valley.
