Win for NM Football & SHS Tennis; Loss for SHS Football…
The North Mason football team beat North Kitsap in Poulsbo on Friday 24 to 21. The Bulldogs fell behind the Vikings 14 to 0 early in the game and were down 18-14 with two minutes remaining. Quarterback Reid Shumaker put NM on top with a touchdown pass to Nolan Shumaker. North Mason’s defense secured the victory on NK’s final drive with an interception. The Bulldogs improve to 4-and-1 on the season, 3-and-0 in the Olympic League. The last time North Mason beat North Kitsap was September 17, 2010 (by a score of 21 to 3). The Bulldogs host Bremerton next Friday.
The Shelton football team lost at Kelso Friday 35 to 14.

The Hilanders used a deliberate, methodical offense and a stout defense to build a 29 to 0 lead at the half, holding the Highclimbers to 27 total yards in the first half.
The ‘Climbers’ offense got better in the second half and finished with 248 yards. The two Shelton touchdowns came late, both on long passes. Ethan Corbin took a Ryan Brady pass 75 yards and Hayden Cash went 80 yards down the sidelines.
Shelton drops to 3-and-2 on the season, 0-and-1 in Greater St. Helens League play. Kelso improved to 4-and-1 overall, 2-and-0 in the GSL.
The Shelton boys’ tennis team beat Black Hills Friday 4 to 2. Individual results were not available. The Highclimbers play at Tumwater on Monday.
