The Port of Shelton is holding an open house to introduce the public to the updated Airport Master Plan for Sanderson Field. This document has been in the works for five years and shows the operations expected at the airport over the next 20 years. According to the Port’s Executive Director, John Dobson, some of the amendments are to noise contours, increased military operations and land use.
The open house is 6 PM Monday night in the Port of Shelton Commission Chambers, 21 West Sanderson Way. The open house is an opportunity for the public to ask questions and review the Airport Master Plan that was last updated in 1997. All documents of the Airport Master Plan are on the Port’s website: www.portofshelton.com. The Port Commission will be holding a public hearing on the Airport Master Plan at 2 PM on December 4, 2012. Action on the updated is possible on December 18.
