Win for SHS Baseball

The Shelton baseball team wrapped up play in the Heritage High School Baseball Tournament Saturday with a 17 to 5 five-inning win over the host school. The Highclimbers and the Timberwolves were tied at four through three innings when the ‘Climbers broke the game open with 12 runs in the top of the fourth to put the game out of reach.
Every Shelton player in the lineup to bat had at least one hit and batted in at least one run.
Matt Carleton led the way going 3 for 5 at the plate with two RBI.
Daniel Crossan was 2 for 4 with two RBI.
Brad Eveland was 1 for 3 with two RBI.
Bradey Rhoades and Jax Ward had two hits and an RBI each.
Wyatt Wagner, Carl Turnbow, Austin Williams, and Boston Madison each batted in a run.
Wyatt Depoe got the win on the mound for the Highclimbers pitching three innings, allowing three earned runs on the six hits with three walks and five strike outs.
Carleton pitched two innings of relief and was charged with one earned run on four hits with a walk and three strike outs.
The Highclimbers improve to 5-and-4 on the season and are now off for spring break. Shelton’s next game is April 5th against Centralia at Cheney Stadium,
