Pedestrian Struck and Killed near Belfair

A 22-year-old Belfair man, walking on North Shore Road, died Friday morning after being struck by a car.

The Washington State Patrol says the man was walking in the eastbound lane of State Route 300 (North Shore Road) just west of Sand Hill Road just before 5 AM. The driver of an eastbound car attempted to avoid the pedestrian in the roadway but couldn’t and struck the man who was deceased at the scene. The roadway was fully blocked for nearly three and a half hours.

A press memo identifies the pedestrian as Alexander M. Kendall, 22 of Belfair.

The driver of the car, a 27-year-old Belfair man, was not injured.
