Port of Allyn Celebrates Centennial

[VIDEO] The Port of Allyn celebrated its centennial with salmon, music and a monument unveiling at Allyn Waterfront Park Sunday.

The keynote speaker was retired Congressman Norm Dicks who represented Washington’s 6th Congressional District from 1977 to 2013. Mr. Dicks talked about the Port’s past.

Derek Kilmer, current 6th District U.S. Representative, talked about the future.

The Port of Allyn Commission (Judy Scott, Ted Jackson and John Sheridan) then unveiled the monument with help from James Kelsey, the artist who created the monument.
