Internet Service Interruptions March 3, 2014
Yesterday, March 3, 2014, our customers experienced sporadic internet interruptions between noon and midnight. The problem was eventually traced to a faulty core router that was installed a few months ago. Ironically, the router was installed as part of our automated redundancy configuration (the backup alternate route to the internet) to avoid service interruptions like the one that happened yesterday. The issues were intermittent and did not affect everyone; consequently they were difficult to pinpoint. Our technicians enlisted assistance from multiple Washington internet service providers as well as Cisco support engineers to help resolve the problem.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused our customers. We appreciate your patience and continued support.
